The Naira strengthened against the dollar on Friday in the official market, appreciating to N1,536.82 per dollar.
According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria website, the currency gained N1.84, marking a 0.11 per cent increase from the N1,538.66 per dollar rate recorded on Thursday.
This uptick comes after four consecutive days of minor depreciation earlier in the week.
On Monday, March 24, the Naira closed at N1,531.19 per dollar, followed by N1,532.39 on Tuesday and N1,537.62 on Wednesday.
Despite these fluctuations, the Naira has exhibited relative stability against the US Dollar since December 2024, a trend attributed to the CBN’s ongoing foreign exchange market reforms aimed at enhancing transparency.
