Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface, has urged Nigerian fans to remain patient as he continues his search for his first goal with the Super Eagles.
Since making his highly anticipated debut against São Tomé & Príncipe in September 2023, the 24-year-old striker has yet to find the back of the net for the national team.
Despite featuring in 12 matches, he remains goalless, much to the frustration of supporters.
In response to growing concerns, Boniface took to Instagram to reassure fans, saying, “9ja plz be patient with me. The goal will come.”
Earlier this week, he saw only three minutes of action in Nigeria’s 1-1 home draw against Zimbabwe before returning to club football, where he wasted no time in rediscovering his scoring touch, netting his eighth Bundesliga goal in Leverkusen’s clash against Bochum.
