Mrs. Abosede Aloba, the mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, and actor Yomi Fabiyi engaged in a heated exchange over claims regarding the cause of the artist’s death.
This happened at a press conference held on Wednesday at Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Fabiyi alleged that Mohbad’s brother, Adura Aloba, had contacted him via Instagram, claiming to have information about the circumstances surrounding the singer’s demise.
“He [Adura] sent me a message saying he knows the root cause of his brother’s death,” Fabiyi stated during the event, which was organized to demand justice for Mohbad.
However, Mrs. Aloba vehemently denied the claim, insisting that Adura was not involved and should not be implicated.
Pointing angrily at Fabiyi, she said, “They killed Mohbad, and now you want to turn my other son into a scapegoat. Adura knows nothing about his brother’s death. Leave him out of this.”
The grieving mother expressed her pain, adding, “If Mohbad were still alive, I wouldn’t be sitting here. They took away my precious gift, and I won’t allow them to take Adura, too.”
In response, Fabiyi clarified that his focus was on the content of the message rather than the identity of the sender. “I’m not concerned about who sent the message; what matters is what was said,” he stated.
