A young boy from Ibadan, Oyo State, Samuel, has seen his life take a remarkable turn after a video of him reading news in Yoruba while washing dishes captured the attention of many.
His impressive delivery earned him the nickname “Radio Boi” and, more importantly, a life-changing opportunity.
Oriyomi Hamzat, the owner of Agidigbo 88.7 FM, was deeply moved by Samuel’s talent and commitment.
Recognizing his potential, Hamzat decided to offer him a position as the youngest On-Air Personality at the station.
Beyond just a job, Samuel’s new role comes with a comprehensive support package. He has been awarded a full scholarship, hands-on training in broadcasting, mentorship, and a monthly salary, ensuring he can develop his skills while continuing his education.
Announcing the employment, Hamzat stated, “Today, I employed you as a staff member of Agidigbo FM. You are the youngest On-Air Personality (OAP). This is what the employment letter entails. We are the ones who will train you; we are the ones who will sponsor you until you finish school. Apart from training you, you will be earning a salary until you resume work fully.”
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Samuel and his brothers expressed their appreciation in the traditional Yoruba way, prostrating before Hamzat to thank him for this incredible opportunity.
