The United Kingdom government has announced that it would support its international students with an additional £15 million hardship fund.
According to information obtained, UK universities will get funding to help students who are struggling to keep up with escalating costs.
It is anticipated that this fund will increase the $261 million student premium fund that was allocated this year to assist needy students.
According to the minister for skills, apprenticeships, and higher education, Robert Halfon, the fund will supplement the assistance that universities are offering through their bursary, scholarship, and hardship support schemes.
According to the data that the PIE news released this week, colleges will continue to need to give international students more financial aid. This academic year, students have continued to request help, and during the 2021–2022 academic year, numerous British institutions distributed more than £100,000 in hardship support to non–UK students.
