The Former Chelsea and Ivorian striker, Didier Drogba has lamented the humiliation of Chelsea FC by Real Madrid at the quarter final of the Champions League saying he does not recognize his club again.
Real Madrid beat Chelsea 4:0 on aggregate to qualify for semi-finals on Tuesday.
Despite that the Blues co-owner Todd Boehly spent over £500million during the summer and January transfer windows to equip the team, Chelsea now sits 11th in the Premier League and have been knocked out of the Champions League.
“I knew this club with a certain class during the Abramovich era, but today I find it lacking. It’s very hard for me to see how they got rid of certain people.
“They should go back to the principles and values they had. I don’t recognise my club anymore,” Drogba said on Canal+.
