The Lagos State police command has reacted to the viral video of a man who claimed that terrorists are now in Lagos State.
It would be recalled that the yet-to-be-identified man had claimed he was picked from Ikoyi roundabout in Lekki by terrorists in army camouflage.
However, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the command’s preliminary investigation revealed that the claims were false.
He also urged the alleged victim to show up at the station and help the police with their investigation.
The PPRO assured Lagos residents and visitors that the command would do everything possible to ensure their safety in a series of tweets posted on his official account.
He wrote, “Preliminary investigations so far reveal that every claim in the video is false. While the investigation is ongoing, we encourage the man to show up to assist the Police with the investigation
“In-depth investigation has commenced. The Command will leave no stone unturned towards ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors to Lagos State” he tweeted.
