The home-based Super Eagles have officially begun the second phase of their training camp as they prepare for the upcoming 2025 African Nations Championship qualifier against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.
On Tuesday, 26 players checked into the team’s camp in Abuja, with an additional nine players expected to arrive today, Wednesday.
This phase of training is being overseen by Assistant Coaches Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu, as Head Coach Augustine Eguavoen is currently out of the country for a medical checkup.
The home-based Eagles began their preparations for the crucial qualifier last week, with intense focus on sharpening their skills ahead of the two-legged encounter against Ghana in December.
The stakes are high, as the overall winners of the tie will secure a place in CHAN 2025, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
With both teams having a historic rivalry, this qualifier is expected to be a thrilling contest, with the Nigerian side aiming to continue their dominance on the continental football scene.
