After a long hiatus caused by Covid, the 61-year-old, Ryan Hackett, from Milford Haven finally achieved his monumental 6,000th ride on the legendary Megafobia at Oakwood Theme Park in Narberth, Pembrokeshire.
For over 25 years, Ryan has embraced the exhilarating twists and turns of the Megafobia, going as far as enjoying a staggering 21 rides in a single day.
However, just as he was on the cusp of hitting this momentous milestone, lockdown restrictions brought his rollercoaster escapades to an abrupt halt.
Reflecting on the impact of the pandemic, Ryan acknowledged that Covid had “a lot to answer for” and expressed his longing for the park during the enforced separation.
But now, with the rollercoaster under his feet once again, Ryan couldn’t contain his joy.
Ryan beaming with the thrill of this adrenaline-pumping experience said, “For two minutes, you escape from reality, leaving all your worries behind. Riding this baby is pure bliss.”
