Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappé, reportedly decided to leave the club at the end of the season and join Real Madrid.
According to French publication Le Parisien, Mbappe has decided to join Madrid for the 2024-25 campaign.
The French international is out of contract at the Paris outfit this summer and after repeatedly being linked with the Spanish giants, it appears Mbappe wants to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, the report adds that it is not yet a done deal.
The 25-year-old is expected to announce his decision next week.
The report stated further that negotiations between the interested parties are being carried out to establish the biggest contract in the Madrid dressing room for Mbappe.
The World Cup winner reportedly ruled out a move to Liverpool next season but if he did move to Madrid, it would be a monumental coup for the Spanish outfit, especially as it would be on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, evaluating Mbappé’s previous change of mind in 2022, we can’t rule out the possibility that he could reverse his decision until the contract is actually signed by both parties.
PSG offered Mbappé a pay rise on his €72 million gross salary but their offer was turned down by the France international.
By choosing to leave as a free agent, Mbappé will be letting go of bonuses of up to €100 million.
His wages at Madrid are expected to be half of what he currently earns at PSG.
