The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has traditionally welcomed his wife, Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmudia into the Ile Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The ceremony took place on Friday night.
Photos and videos of the event, which emerged on Saturday morning, showed the queen being ushered in by a group of women into the palace.
Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda is a 30-year-old medical doctor from Ondo State.
She is said to be a devout Christian and a strong believer in traditional Yoruba culture.
The Ooni’s marriage to Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda is his sixth marriage.
