The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board has nabbed a job seeker, Abosede Ojo, for allegedly falsifying her recruitment test results.
The Board’s Chairman, Nureni Adeniran, disclosed this in Ibadan on Friday, stating that the suspect had been handed over to the police for further investigation.
According to Adeniran, Ojo, who scored 36 in the computer-based test for recruitment, allegedly colluded with a syndicate to produce a fake congratulatory message.
She was caught during a verification exercise organized by the board to confirm the authenticity of candidates’ credentials.
“The suspect admitted she did not attend the interview but worked with her husband to procure a fake congratulatory message,” Adeniran revealed.
He added that the police are currently investigating financial transactions between the suspect and the cybercafé where the counterfeit document was produced.
“The board will track down and apprehend everyone involved in this fraudulent act,” Adeniran vowed.
The chairman warned others against engaging in similar activities, stressing that anyone caught would face strict legal consequences. “We will ensure anyone found culpable faces the full wrath of the law,” he said.
