The Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has attributed the current hardships in Nigeria to poor electoral decisions made during the 2023 general elections.
He made this statement during a visit to the Government House in Bauchi, where he met with Governor Bala Mohammed ahead of a mega crusade in the state.
When asked about the country’s challenges, Suleman criticized Nigerians for their voting choices, stating, “What Nigerians are experiencing is partly what they deserve. Before the election, we raised alarms and warned, but the cries fell on deaf ears.”
He specifically criticized President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, noting a lack of a clear plan. “The man who came into leadership had no manifesto—just a sense of entitlement with his ‘it’s my turn’ mantra,” he said.
Lamenting the state of the nation, Suleman highlighted the mismanagement of the oil sector.
“The oil sector has been plundered. It may take 10 to 15 years for Nigerians to recover from the damage done. All we can do now is pray,” he added.
He urged citizens to reflect on their choices ahead of the 2027 elections, saying, “If they’ve suffered enough by then, perhaps they’ll make better decisions.”
