The Nigerian Air Force operating under Operation Hadin Kai, has successfully executed a precision airstrike in Arina, located in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.
The strike targeted Islamic State of West Africa Province fighters, neutralizing several insurgents and crippling their logistics operations.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post on X on Monday night.
According to reports, the air interdiction was carried out around 0600 hours on March 9, 2025, following actionable human intelligence and confirmatory surveillance through intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations.
Makama further revealed that intelligence sources had detected unusual movements and a significant gathering of terrorists in the area, which led to a swift and coordinated airstrike.
Quoting one of the sources, he stated, “The precision airstrikes effectively neutralized many ISWAP fighters and disrupted their logistics chain in the area. The operation further weakens the group’s ability to launch attacks on civilian and military targets.”
