Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has debunked rumours making the rounds claiming that he is planning to embark on another medical vacation in Germany.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, in a statement released, the Governor called on the people of Ondo State and Nigerians at large to dismiss the false and misleading claims.
Akeredolu said the false claims were being propagated by politicians with ulterior motives.
The Governor, who recently returned to the country five weeks ago from medical vacation, said he was disappointed with the individuals behind the rumors, labeling them as “evil-minded politicians” who have been dissatisfied with his return to the state.
He stressed that his administration has been functioning effectively without any disruptions, and he remains resolute in his commitment to serving the people of the State.
“The story making the rounds is baseless, unfounded, and only a figment of the imagination of evil-minded politicians.
“For us, we are committed to addressing the genuine concerns of the people of the State. This is why development is prioritised under the Akeredolu administration.
“Governance is not about showbiz, where the governor embarks on fashion parades at the market square to announce his presence in the State.
“We understand the importance of development as the major driver of a peaceful, thriving, and egalitarian society.
“Governor Akeredolu’s administration has consistently demonstrated its dedication to the State’s progress.
“Recently, he approved the recruitment of medical professionals and healthcare workers as a demonstration of our commitment to enhancing the State’s healthcare system.”
