Manchester United defender, Tyrell Malacia, has joined Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven on loan, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
Malacia, who became Erik ten Hag’s first signing as United manager, arrived from Feyenoord in July 2022 for £13 million ($16m).
Despite showing early promise, the Netherlands international struggled to secure a consistent starting role and missed significant time due to a knee injury, limiting him to 47 appearances across all competitions.
His temporary move to PSV follows Manchester United’s recent signing of left-back Patrick Dorgu from Serie A side Lecce.
According to sources who spoke to ESPN, United agreed on a fee of €30m ($31.1m), with an additional €5m tied to performance-related bonuses, for Dorgu’s transfer from Lecce.
