Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, featured prominently as Sevilla secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo in Saturday’s La Liga encounter.
The Nigerian international, appearing for the ninth time this season, continues his search for a maiden goal in Sevilla colours.
The breakthrough for the home side came in the 68th minute, courtesy of a stunning strike by Manu Bueno, much to the delight of the crowd at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
Celta Vigo came close to equalizing in the 75th minute, but Iago Aspas squandered a golden opportunity to find the back of the net.
With the win, Sevilla climbed to 10th position with 22 points, while Celta Vigo remain 12th with 21 points in the La Liga standings.
