Fuji music icon King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM1, is mourning the death of his former wife, Alhaja Hafsat Anifowoshe.
She passed away on Tuesday at the age of 65 following an undisclosed illness.
According to The PUNCH, the late Hafsat was the mother of Idayat Anifowoshe, who serves as the Special Assistant on Special Duties to Dr. Mayor Muibi Folawiyo, the executive chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Authority.
Her burial took place at Abari Cemetery in Lagos, in line with Islamic traditions.
In a condolence message, Olushoga Olushola, the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of LIELCDA, expressed profound sympathy on behalf of his principal.
“We understand how painful it is to lose a loving mother and a dependable partner,” he said. “Though words may not fully console at a time like this, we hope you find solace in the impactful life she led, her dedication to God, and her contributions to humanity.”
Olushola also praised Hafsat’s virtues, describing her as “an affectionate mother, an exceptional woman, and a dutiful parent who was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.”
He added, “Our prayers are with you and the entire family. May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant you the strength to carry on her legacy.”
