Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to collaborating with the North West Development Commission to tackle poverty and drive sustainable growth in the region.
The governor made this known on Friday while receiving the NWDC leadership, led by its Chairman, Lawal Abdullahi, at the Government House in Dutse.
He emphasized that a strong partnership between the state government and the commission is vital for addressing the developmental challenges confronting the North West.
Congratulating the commission’s chairman and members on their appointment by President Bola Tinubu, Namadi expressed gratitude for their visit and urged them to uphold integrity, dedication, and commitment in the discharge of their duties.
Stressing the importance of synergy, the governor called for collaboration between the commission and the state government to drive sustainable progress across the region.
In his remarks, NWDC Chairman Abdullahi stated that their visit to Dutse was aimed at briefing the governor on the commission’s activities.
He said, “The NWDC was established to promote the development of the northwest region, and its partnership with the Jigawa state government has a significant the region’s socio-economic.”
Abdullahi described the visit as part of their broader advocacy efforts across North West states, aimed at fostering cooperation and support for the commission’s initiatives.
He commended Governor Namadi for his dedication to the state’s development and his proactive stance in tackling societal challenges.
Expressing optimism about the collaboration, Abdullahi noted that the joint efforts of the NWDC and the Jigawa State Government would bring about meaningful development in the region.
