The Jigawa State Government has designated 35 hectares of land in Tsohon Kafi, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, for the establishment of a modern shooting range.
The spokesperson for the Jigawa State Police Command, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed this development in a statement to DAILY POST.
According to Shiisu, the project is designed to enhance security training and marksmanship for law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and other security operatives.
He emphasized that this initiative aligns with Governor Umar Namadi’s commitment to bolstering security and defense capabilities across the state.
The facility will serve as a secure and controlled environment for security forces to conduct tactical drills and training exercises.
“This facility will not only serve our security forces but also create opportunities for training programs that will improve the preparedness of our personnel in combating crime and ensuring public safety,” Shiisu stated.
The construction of the shooting range is part of Governor Namadi’s broader twelve-point agenda to enhance security in Jigawa State.
