The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the distribution of new uniforms and kits to personnel of the Nigeria Police Force in other ranks.
This move is part of ongoing efforts to enhance officers’ welfare and strengthen professionalism within the force.
This development was announced on Saturday in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
According to Adejobi, the initiative reflects the IGP’s commitment to creating better working conditions and raising the standards of professionalism.
“The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the distribution of new uniforms and kits for personnel in other ranks as part of his vision to improve welfare and boost morale across the force,” the statement read.
Egbetokun also expressed hope that the implementation of the 2025 budget would pave the way for additional welfare initiatives to further support officers in fulfilling their duties.
“With the approval of the 2025 budget, we are optimistic about implementing more welfare-focused projects to enhance the effectiveness of officers in delivering their responsibilities,” Egbetokun stated.
The IGP emphasized the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to ensuring that officers are well-equipped and motivated to uphold the safety and security of citizens.
“The Nigeria Police Force remains dedicated to maintaining a motivated and well-resourced workforce to guarantee the safety and security of Nigerians,” the statement concluded.
