Four state executives of the New Nigerian People’s Party, Niger State chapter, have died in a car crash along the Lambata/Bida Road while returning from the inauguration of the vice presidential candidate of the party.
According to The Punch, the state party chairman, Mamman Damisa, in an interview with newsmen on Sunday, said the party lost two local government party chairmen, one youth leader and a driver to the accident.
He identified the two local government party chairmen as Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim (Agaie) and Baba Usman (Katcha).
“Some of our members also got injured in the accident and they included the party chairmen of Gbako, Lapai and Edati LGAs,” Damisa added.
