The Director of Information & Communication, Federal Capital Territory Administration, Muhammad Sule, has disclosed that the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s fire incident won’t affect daily operations.
Fire has reportedly razed a section of the ICT Unit of the FCT Administration on Thursday.
While confirming, Sule said the incident was as a result of a power surge at about 8pm.
It was said the inferno partially affected the server room but the men of the FCT Fire Service and the Federal Fire Service were on ground to quickly put out the fire.
The team of emergency responders, assisted by security men on duty, put the situation under control in about 15 minutes.
The FCTA management, however, assured the residents of Abuja that the incident would not mar daily operations.
“There is no cause for alarm. The incident will not in any way hinder the smooth operations of the ICT Unit nor any function,” Sule said.
Sulee then expressed gratitude to the police and the fire service personnel for successfully extinguishing the inferno within a short period.
