In a formal statement, the Secretary to the State Government and Chair of the Central Planning Committee, Enobong Uwah, expressed the family’s appreciation for the outpouring of love and support from across the country since her passing.
“We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming prayers, tributes, and comforting messages during this profoundly difficult time,” Uwah said. He invited friends and well-wishers to join the family in a series of commemorative events planned in Pastor Patience Eno’s honor.
Pastor Patience Eno, who passed away on September 26, 2024, was remembered as a woman of profound faith and compassion who left a lasting impact on Akwa Ibom State and beyond.
Her husband, Governor Umo Eno, described her as “not only my partner but a pillar of strength for our family and the people of Akwa Ibom. Her compassion and devotion were unmatched, and she will be dearly missed.”
The week-long memorial events will commence on November 20, 2024, with the opening of a Mourning House, followed by a period of condolence visits until November 26.
On November 22, a Night of Worship and Tributes will take place at the International Christian Worship Centre in Uyo, where attendees will reflect on her life’s impact through songs of worship and messages from those whose lives she touched.
