The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has announced a temporary suspension of access gate fees at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, as part of efforts to ease traffic congestion for road users.
In a statement issued on Saturday, FAAN spokesperson Dr. Obiageli Orah confirmed that the suspension will be effective from Friday, January 24, 2025, to Friday, February 7, 2025.
“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria wishes to inform the general public that access gate fees at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, have been suspended to alleviate the traffic burden faced by airport road users,” the statement read.
Dr. Orah further acknowledged the challenges caused by ongoing construction in the area and assured travelers of FAAN’s commitment to minimizing disruptions.
“We deeply empathize with the inconvenience caused by the ongoing construction and remain dedicated to ensuring a smooth travel experience for all road users,” she said.
