The Gunners would go on to score their third goal of the game in the 55th minute after Granit Xhaka slotted in the assist from Leandro Trossard.
Crystal Palace had their consolation goal in the 63rd minute after Jeffrey Schlupp pounced on a corner kick to score.
The Mikel Arteta led team again scored their fourth goal of the game with Bukayo Saka registering his name on the score sheet again at the 74th minute.
