Twitter Owner, Elon Musk, has revealed why the Twitter account of American rapper, Kanye West now known as ‘Ye’ was suspended.
According to AFP, Musk stated that the account of Kanye was suspended “for incitement to violence” after the rapper posted a picture that appeared to show a swastika interlaced with a Star of David.
The post came just hours after West declared his “love” for Nazis and admiration for Adolf Hitler in an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
West also tweeted a photo of a shirtless Musk being sprayed with water with the caption, “Let’s always remember this as my final tweet.”
“Just clarifying that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering photo of me,” Musk responded.
Musk, who previously described himself as a “free speech absolutist,” has repeatedly stated that he believes all legally permissible content should be allowed on Twitter and has sought to remake the social media organization since taking control in October.
