The Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture in Cross River State, Robert Ewa, has died.
Ewa reportedly passed away on Wednesday evening at the Arubah Specialist Hospital in Calabar, the state capital.
According to The PUNCH, members of the Cross River State Executive Council and aides to Governor Bassey Otu gathered at the hospital to commiserate with Ewa’s family.
“He was active and attended the state executive council meeting earlier in the day, presided over by Governor Otu,” a source close to the government disclosed.
Ewa’s political journey included serving as Secretary and later Chairman of the Boki Local Government Council.
He also held roles as Special Adviser on Community Relations and Secretary of the Anti-Deforestation Task Force.
