Spanish professional footballer, Cesc Fabregas, has returned to the Emirates Stadium for a coaching career at Arsenal.
The 35-year-old is expected to work alongside his former teammate, Jack Wilshere, in coaching the club’s U18.
Fabregas, who currently plays for Serie B side, Como, was allowed to return to London Colney, having made his last appearance for Como on December 26, with the club been on break until January 14.
Already, Fabregas has spent a few days at the Gunners’ training ground, working with Wilshere to coach the young lads, according to the UK Telegraph.
The spaniard played for Arsenal from 2003 to 2011, making a total of 212 appearances. He netted 35 goals for the Gunners after joining the club from Barcelona’s youth side.
However, after an eight-year stint at the Emirates Stadium, the Spanish World Cup winner parted ways and made his dream return to Barca in 2011.
He, nevertheless, made his debut for Arsenal not long after, on 28 October 2003, in a League Cup tie at home to Rotherham United.
In doing so, Fabregas became Arsenal’s youngest-ever first team player, aged 16. He then became the youngest goalscorer in Arsenal’s history in a later round of the League Cup, scoring in a 5–1 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
