An audit report by Pearson Consulting Limited has accused prominent gospel music producer EezeeTee of diverting $264,000 meant for gospel artist Judikay.
The allegations, spanning financial transactions from 2019 to 2024, have been referred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for investigation.
The audit report revealed several financial irregularities in records linked to Eezee Concepts, the label that manages Judikay.
According to the findings, substantial sums generated from streaming platforms and record labels were misappropriated, leaving Judikay with only a fraction of her rightful earnings.
“Of the $1,607,930.17 received in three USD accounts at Zenith Bank from Africori, only $599,508.35 was accounted for as Judikay’s income,” the report noted.
“The remaining funds are unaccounted for, raising concerns about financial mismanagement.”
The auditors highlighted missing revenue figures from January to April 2024, altered financial statements, and discrepancies in income reports from platforms like Africori, YouTube, and others.
While other artists under Eezee Concepts reportedly had more comprehensive records, Judikay’s documentation was incomplete.
Further investigation revealed that Judikay is owed $146,000 from Viusasa Media, $46,482.88 from Verger Records, and $99,508.35 from Africori for undistributed earnings in early 2024.
Pearson Consulting recommended that Judikay request detailed financial statements directly from Africori to determine her entitlements.
“Accountability is crucial in this matter,” the report emphasized, urging the EFCC to examine all local and international accounts linked to Eezee Concepts.
The EFCC is now working to trace the funds and assess the full scope of the alleged diversion. A spokesperson for Pearson Consulting described the audit as “a necessary step toward ensuring restitution and financial transparency.”
