A group of armed individuals in military uniforms stormed the headquarters of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company in Lagos on Thursday morning, causing chaos at the facility.
According to The PUNCH, the invasion, which occurred around 7:40 a.m., took place at the company’s office opposite MITV in Ikeja.
Witnesses reported that the military personnel assaulted staff and other individuals present in the building.
Security operatives, including the police, were deployed to the scene in an attempt to restore order.
However, sources said the armed personnel, reportedly led by a woman, refused to stand down.
