In the state’s Idemili North Local Government Area, unidentified gunmen have abducted an Anambra-based native doctor named Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki.
According to The Punch, armed men attacked the famed witch doctor’s hotel in the Oba village on Sunday night.
His two bodyguards were killed before he was spirited away to an unknown location.
According to reports, the operation that led to Tiwaraki’s abduction went smoothly, creating questions in the community regarding his identity as a native doctor.
It was stated that Tiwaraki’s mansion in the village attracted people seeking anti-bullet charms and money rituals because of his constant boasting about his wealth and power.
The incident has been confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga.
He stated that the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.
“CP Aderemi Adeoye has ordered that operatives go after his abductors and ensure his release,” he added.
