The Confederation of African Football has assigned a team of Kenyan officials to oversee the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier between Nigeria’s Flamingos and South Africa.
The first-leg encounter is set to take place on Saturday, March 8, at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
Josephine Wanjiku will serve as the centre referee for the match, with fellow Kenyans Mary Njoroge and Elizabeth Njoroge assisting as assistant referees 1 and 2, respectively. Juma Lucy Awino will take on the role of fourth official.
Additionally, Cindy Barbara Dludlu from eSwatini has been appointed as the match commissioner, while Moroccan official Khadija Rezzag will assess the referees’ performance.
The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. The team that emerges victorious over both legs will advance to the final qualifying round.
This year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is set to be staged in Morocco from October 17 to November 8.
