The Ondo State government has lifted the curfew imposed on Owo, following a notable improvement in security and a return to calm in the community.
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa approved the decision, allowing residents to resume their daily activities without restriction.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, February 21, 2025.
“The curfew in Owo has been lifted due to the improved security situation and the peaceful conduct of residents,” Adeniyan stated.
The governor expressed appreciation to security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other stakeholders for their efforts in restoring order to the community.
