The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has cautioned candidates registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry to steer clear of unapproved registration centres.
The board warned that using unauthorized centres could lead to the cancellation of their registration.
JAMB’s Public Relations Officer in Jigawa State, Mukarram Adamu, issued the advisory in a statement on Tuesday in Dutse, the state capital.
Adamu revealed that 1,021 candidates have so far completed their registration for the 2025 UTME and DE in Jigawa State, while a total of 201,867 candidates have registered across the country.
He highlighted that the registration is being conducted at 12 designated Computer-Based Test centres within the state to ensure a smooth and transparent process free of irregularities.
“The approved CBT centres were established to guarantee a hitch-free registration process and curb cases of fraud and malpractice,” Adamu said.
He further assured candidates that JAMB would take all necessary steps to ensure the ongoing registration exercise is seamless.
According to Adamu, the number of candidates registered nationwide is expected to rise as the exercise progresses.
He urged candidates to report any challenges or suspicious activities they encounter during the process, reiterating JAMB’s commitment to ensuring efficiency and fairness.
“Candidates are strongly advised to use only approved centres for their registration. Patronizing illegal operators could lead to disqualification,” Adamu emphasized.
JAMB also called on candidates to remain vigilant and report any malpractices or unauthorized centres to the appropriate authorities.
