Eight teams from the Round of 16 have booked their spots in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals in Cote D’ivoire.
All the quarter-final fixtures for the 2023 AFCON have been confirmed after the completion of knock out stages on Tuesday night.
Angola were the first to sealed their place after the Parancas Negras humbled Namibia on Saturday evening.
The attacking-sided team will now face the Super Eagles of Nigeria, reputed to be one of the favourites of the competition, after beating the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon
Mali booked their spot with a 2-1 win over Burkina Faso.
Edmond Tapsoba’s early own goal and Lassie Sinayoko’s calm finish gave Mali a 2-0 lead, before Bertrand Traore pulled one back from the penalty spot.
South Africa then shocked tournament favourites Morocco 2-0.
Evidence Makgopa and Teboho Mokoena scored for the Bafana Bafana as they recorded a famous win.
Mali will now take on Ivory Coast, while South Africa will play Cape Verde.
