French explorer, British-Pakistani Bizman,
A rescue team has been launched to find a French Explorer, British-Pakistani Business men and others who were in the missing tourist Titanic submarine.
PUNCH METRO reported that the submarine designed to transport visitors to the Titanic wreckage went missing alongside its crew on board since Sunday.
The vessel was reported to have lost contact with the submersible about one hour and 45 minutes into the dive, according to the US Coast Guard.
Also the missing vessel is believed to be OceanGate’s Titan submersible, a truck-sized sub capable of carrying five people with a four-day emergency oxygen supply.
The British Broadcasting Corporation on Tuesday reported that a search teams are racing against time to find the tourist submersible that went missing during a dive to the wreck of the Titanic.
British-Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman are two of the five on board, another of those believed to be in the craft is British businessman and explorer Hamish Harding.
As of Monday afternoon, it was thought the crew members had four days-worth of oxygen left at most.
Stockton Rush, chief executive of OceanGate – the firm behind the dive – is also being widely reported to be on the vessel as is French explorer Paul-Henry Nargeolet
Leader of the rescue team, David Mearns, was reported to have said,“Just in the last hour or so… another commercial vessel, a very capable pipe laying vessel, modern ship, with ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle) capabilities, is actually over the site now and we’re just hoping that it has the capabilities to reach those kind of depths 3,800 metres to search for the submersible and have the ability to recover it.
“There is some hope that that could happen.”
