Days after, sporadic tales of survival from the Turkey-Syria earthquake have continued to surface.
Nearly 198 hours after the first earthquake slammed regions in Turkey and Syria, a 17-year-old boy and an unidentified male were found alive in the wreckage of an apartment building in Turkey’s Kahramanmaras province.
CNN’s Turk reported that the two survivors were immediately transported to waiting ambulances by rescue workers while they were strapped to stretchers.
However, the United Nations have said that the chances of discovering survivors more than a week after the devastating earthquakes are rapidly decreasing, as the emphasis is shifting from rescue operations to shelter, food, and education.
