The Nigeria Football Federation’s referees committee has suspended three match officials.
According to Daily Post, the officials were suspended following their poor performance in some Nigeria Premier Football League games this season.
For their poor performance on matchday two against Shooting Stars and Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan, both center referee Ndubuisi Ukah and assistant referee Otuwho Morrison were suspended.
Similarly, Faro Abdulrahman was suspended after a poor showing for Rivers United against Niger Tornadoes on day three of the tournament at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Tuesday night.
A valid goal scored by the visitors was disallowed by Abdulrahman.
The referee’s committee has ordered the three officials to come and provide an explanation of what transpired during the matches.
