France has decided to file a complaint to FIFA, after a last-gasp equaliser by Antoine Griezmann which was disallowed.
The match Referee, Michael Conger, ruled out the goal following a VAR review after the final whistle of their match against Tunisia.
Aurelien Tchouameni sent the ball into the area and it was deflected by a Tunisian defender into Griezmann’s path, who was onside at that point.
However, the effort was termed offside and disallowed, leaving Tunisia as winners of the match, with a 1-0 lead.
The French federation in statement, on Wednesday, expressed their opinion concerning the match, saying Conger and VAR made a technical error.
The statement read, “We are writing a complaint after Antoine Griezmann’s goal was, in our opinion, wrongly disallowed.
“This complaint has to be filed within 24 hours after the final whistle.”
The FFF want FIFA to reinstate the goal and give France a 1-1 draw with Tunisia, even though that doesn’t change current standings in the group, as France have already qualified for the knockout stage.
