Kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for kidnapping by an Ikeja Special Offences Court in Lagos State.
Alongside Evans, the notorious kidnapper’s co-defendant, Victor Aduba, was also jailed in a sentence passed by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo on Monday.
The two convicts were accused of conspiring and kidnapping Sylvanus Ahanonu Hafia on June 23, 2014, at Kara Street, Amuwo Odofin in Lagos.
Evans and Aduba were alleged to have captured and detained Hafia and demanded a ransom of $2m, however, the duo pleaded not guilty to the four charges.
