Announcing the arrest, the state commandant, Nuhu Bello Muhammadu Dansadau, revealed that the operation was a collaborative effort between NSCDC personnel and the Nigerian Army (Fasan Yamman) along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway.
“Our personnel, in a joint operation with the Nigerian Army (Fasan Yamman) along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway, sprang into action and apprehended the suspects,” he stated.
The suspects, identified as 33-year-old Tasiu Mohammed and his driver, 39-year-old Jamilu Sanusi, are now in custody, along with the recovered exhibits.
