The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Yahaya Bello, the former Governor of Kogi State, in the sum of N500 million.
Bello is facing a 16-count charge related to alleged fraud involving N110.4 billion.
Justice Emeka Nwite, who presided over the hearing on Friday, outlined strict conditions for the bail.
The ex-governor is required to present two sureties with properties in Abuja of equal value to the bail amount.
Additionally, the sureties must provide sworn affidavits affirming their means, while the court’s Deputy Chief Registrar will verify the title documents of the properties.
